Corner Brook Pulp and Paper launches Project Tuckamore, its long-term revitalization initiative
Corner Brook, NL, July 14, 2026 – Kruger Inc. today announced the launch of Project Tuckamore, the major initiative to revitalize Corner Brook Pulp and Paper (CBPP) and transform the site into an integrated energy and industrial hub. The project is designed to strengthen the Mill’s long-term competitiveness while contributing to Newfoundland and Labrador’s evolving energy needs. The announcement was made during a keynote presentation by Darren Pelley at the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade.
“Project Tuckamore is about positioning Corner Brook Pulp and Paper for the future. By bringing together industrial modernization, sustainable forestry and renewable energy, we are creating a stronger, more resilient operation that will continue to contribute to the economy and communities of Newfoundland and Labrador for decades to come,” said Darren Pelley, Vice President, Special Projects at Kruger.
To reflect CBPP’s commitment to open and transparent dialogue, a new Community Engagement Office dedicated to Project Tuckamore will officially open on July 15, in Suite 111 of the CRI Building, located at 3 Mill Road in Corner Brook. Members of the public are welcome to visit Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share feedback.
